Elvis and Kathy
Published in Hardcover by Glendale House Pub (August, 1987)
Average review score:

Excellent! The "realest" book yet! Couldn't put it down...I have read MANY books on Elvis by many people who where "supposed" to have know him, lived with him, traveled with him. Kathy's book is the first to give us insight about the "man", not the "image". She was honest and fair, she told us bad habits, but she also tried to explain why he did many of things he did. She wrote her book with lots of love and respect for a dear friend she misses very much. I was touched my many things she wrote and I cried throughout much of the book. Thank you Cathy for giving us a chance for the first time to understand just what a truly misunderstood, kind, gentle, caring "man" Elvis really was. And thanks also for not tooting your own horn.......
Like many of us, on those days when you miss him the most, remember he is finally at peace, with his mama, and someday you will meet your friend again

The Elvis Atlas: A Journey Through Elvis Presley's America (Henry Holt Reference Book)
Published in Hardcover by Henry Holt & Company, Inc. (September, 1996)
Average review score:

Excellent book for diehard fansThis book is excellent if you are eager to seek out places Elvis frequented throughout his life. Not simply Sun Records or other well-known locations; rather, the non-traditional hangouts. I have brought the book to Memphis and used it as a guide to visiting some out-of-the-way places. Elvis was a lot more than Graceland and Sun. If you are interested in other locations which assisted in his formative years, take this book to Memphis and look up some of the addresses listed. You'll gain a better appreciation for the King.

Elvis Box
Published in Unbound by Chronicle Books (October, 2001)
Average review score:

A must have for Elvis Presley fans!If you know an Elvis Presley fan, then this box set would make a good present. In this box set is Elvis Aaron Presley Thumbnail Biagraphy, a check to Elvis Presley from his manger for $50000.00, Colonel Tom Parker's Fan Club Membership card, Elvis' paystab from Presision Tool, Elvis Presley's report card from his days at East Tupelo School which he got graded for school spirit, a pitcure of Elvis Presley with his parents in 1937, a an application for insurance, Press release which has his story, an Elvis portrait, an application for civilian and military exerience, an Elvis Presley postcard with his manger dressed up as Santa Clause, Offical Elvis Presley Album, a picure of Elvis Presley signed by himself, a sign from one of Elvis Presley's performance and last but not least Elvis Presley picture cards. And if you were born after Elvis Presley's death like me, you can his picure pre-signed by Elvis Presley himself. Like I had said, this is a must if you know an Elvis Presley or maybe you are a fan yourself, and if you are, you can even buy this for yourself. This is worth your $$$$$$$$$$.
My thoughts on Elvis Box. This is one of the best things to get your Elvis Presley fan (if you know one). Or if you are a Elvis Presley fan, this is denfily a proudct to own. How can you not have fun while looking at this book (I guess). What is there in here not to like. You have a report card form Elvis Prelsey's 3rd grade days. And when you (or your Elvis Presely fan [if you know one]) check out the ELvis Presley album book that comes along.

Elvis Costello
Published in Paperback by Cherry Lane Music (November, 1981)
Average review score:

Insightful and impressionistic view of Costello. This was the first of Reese's biographies of musicians, and was produced despite total non-cooperation from the subject. Her image-laden, insightful style gives a broad understanding of Costello as a person and an artist. Though not a fan, I still found the book quite interesting.

Elvis Costello: A Bio-Bibliography (Bio-Bibliographies in Music)
Published in Hardcover by Greenwood Press (30 November, 1998)
Average review score:

Reference books are *fun* againA bibliography lists books and magazine articles about its subject. Mr. Perone described the articles so well that I'm going to get some rolls of dimes for the copiers, go to my library, and get some of these articles.

The Elvis Encyclopedia
Published in Hardcover by General Pub Group (August, 1994)
Average review score:

Excellent BookThis book has information on every movie, song, and the days of Elvis' life. It's like DAY BY DAY by Peter Guralnick (spelling?) but not as much $. Awesome color photos and a really nice cover make this book something to show off. 5 Stars!

The Elvis Encyclopedia: The Complete and Definitive Reference Book on the King of Rock & Roll
Published in Paperback by Virgin Books (16 July, 1998)
Average review score:

indispensable for elvis fansIf you want to know everything about Elvis, then this is the book you need. It contains everything about his personal life, his music, his movies, his friends and family, his likes and dislikes and more.
It was compiled by his stepbrother David E. Stanley and it has a foreward by Lamar Fike, Elvis' best friend.
It also has an Elvis trivia quiz for the real fantics.
If you need to know those more obscure songs he sang, you'll find it in here.
Since this book was first published in '94, I can only spot two original albums missing from the "his music" section.
"For the asking" and "Tomorrow is a long" time were supposed to have been released in the early and late sixties respectively, but instead they were dropped in favour of soundtrack albums. A lot of the songs from these two albums were used as fillers on soundtrack albums of the sixties.
Now these two long lost albums have recently been released by RCA. So the only reason they're not mentioned in this book, is because they weren't commercially available at the time this book was published.
It does mention at the beginning of the music section "this anthology contains only records released commercially - no bootlegs or unauthorised material".
They released this book with an alternative front cover in '98 (in the uk anyway), and I'm assuming it's exactly the same. I might buy that book because I've looked at my book so many times, especially in the music section, that some of the pages have come out. This is probably due to flicking back and forth so much.
Buy this book! You won't believe the amount of info in it.

Elvis in the Army: The King of Rock 'N' Roll As Seen by an Officer Who Served With Him
Published in Hardcover by Presidio Pr (August, 1995)
Average review score:

A good soldier.Written by Elvis' platoon commander in the 32nd
Armor, 3rd Armored Division, this book gives the
details of the famous singer's military service in
Germany in 1958-60.
In the heyday of the Evil Empire, with ready armies glowering at each other over the Iron Curtain, duty with a combat unit in Germany was no joke. The training was rugged and continuous, and our troops had to be ready to sacrifice themselves in the early stages of any projected conflict. This was a place for men, not sissy stars (such as some others serving at the same time), and Elvis proved himself worthy of the trust America placed in him.
By hard work, and serious diligence to duty, Private Presley made himself into a formidable soldier, asking for no special favors and earning his place among warriors.
This Elvis will always be due the respect of his country.

Elvis Is Everywhere
Published in Paperback by Clarkson N. Potter (January, 1992)
Average review score:

a haunting array of images d'echeque that...Capture the King...masterful photography by one of the 20th Centuries most charming and enigmatic lensmen (from LIFE covers to the Grammy Award winning Bob Dylan's GREATEST HITS album cover to Callahanesque photo-essays, alive with color and profoundly "human" feeling ...Scherman is Everywhere)...his artfully executed 35MM tableaus (effortlessly) reveal quintessential truths about the poignant nature of the Pelvic Prince's populist appeal(thereby helping to illuminate the emotional context and architecture of celebrity itself). Great stuff...!
